Axiom is seeking a lead writer/journalist to join our team supporting the Air Force Surgeon General Office of Congressional and Public Affairs (SGL) in Falls Church, Va. Successful Candidate will produce quality articles and other written materials for SGL in support for Air Force SG priorities and focus areas. Plan, write, develop and edit articles, briefing materials, social media and web content and assist in other public affairs projects as required by the director of SGL. Successful candidates will possess strong writing, editing and interviewing skills. Provide expert Public Affairs advice and guidance to SGL government staff. Work with the government client to plan content calendars that sync articles, social media and website content to enhance Air Force Surgeon General priorities. Support Air Force Medical Readiness and Operational Medicine through carefully-researched, well-written and thoroughly edited articles, feature stories and press releases. Produce and review additional Public Affairs content (talking points, FAQs, public affairs guidance, communication plans, video scripts, congressional testimony, social media content and others) to support Air Force SGL. Support Air Force Medical Service Transformation efforts with Public Affairs products. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in communications or related field and at least 5 years’ experience in communications in government or industry. Experience with military or health care is preferred, as well as interacting with senior executives. Strong writer with good organizational skills and adaptability to meet client needs as they arise. Attention to detail and respond to tasks in a timely manner. Willingness to be proactive and search out interesting stories about what makes Air Force Medicine unique. This position currently includes an option to work remotely, preferably in the Northern Virginia/DC area. Ability to undergo a background investigation that requires U.S. Citizenship.

We are seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to support ongoing Integrative Medicine efforts to support the Military Healthcare System in Las Vegas, NV. Successful Candidate will provide clinical research support to include recruitment, randomization, data collection, tracking, interview, and follow-up necessary to conduct research studies. Provide administrative support to the 99MDG Research and Development efforts to include collection, compilation, transcription, and documentation of research data. Coordinate administrative and Institutional Review Board approval of proposed research protocols, protocol amendments, progress reports, and final reports. Ensure appropriate maintenance and renewal of human subject research protection training and other research trainings for each individual listed on research protocol. Advertise assigned studies utilizing approved recruitment materials. Create and maintain a database of research projects. Prepare reports to be presented at scheduled Clinical Investigation Program department meetings. Meet with and brief research subjects to obtain written informed consent to participate in projects. Coordinate with study auditors, regulatory agencies, collaborators, and sponsors in management of research studies. Axiom Resource Management is currently seeking a Strategic Communications Planner to support the Military Health System Communications Office in Falls Church, VA. The Strategic Communications Planner will serve as an account manager for the MHS Public Health communications activities. The qualified candidate will be responsible for providing communications account support to the Director of Communications and the Director, Public Health Division for the Defense Health Agency. Successful candidate will research, develop, write, and evaluate strategic communications plans based on specific target events or activities (includes coordinating strategies and tactics, and developing milestones, deliverables, and timelines). Provide technical and functional expertise to the government account manager. Attend all senior leader meetings that require communications support and submit after action reports. Identify target audiences for communications pertaining to media engagement, internal communications, strategic outreach, and social media postings. Support symposiums, town hall meetings, strategic off sites, and leadership engagements for the senior government account manager. Write senior leader talking points, guidelines for public affairs, and strategic communications plans. Write articles, news releases and ghostwrite for senior leadership in medical/scholarly journals on global health engagement operations and military medical readiness. Work with subject matter experts on effective, timely response to media inquiries, long-lead media pieces for print and broadcast, media training, and other communications targets of engagement. Lead brainstorming sessions with key subject matter experts and communications team leaders, exercising creativity in ways to communicate a wide variety of messages. Develop key messages for senior leaders using pre-designed templates. Conduct Interim Progress Reviews (IPR�s) and senior leader briefings to provide status updates. Work with the government account lead to create a brand for their organization as it fits with the overall Military Health Services (MHS) mission, including maintaining the account�s specific web presence with current and pertinent information. Translate complex health policy and management issues into policy memos, action steps, senior leader talking points, and other forms of communication that can be used by senior leaders, stakeholders, and the MHS workforce. Working knowledge of Content Management Systems, and understanding of 508 Compliance for web-based documents.
