Successful Candidate will:

  • Oversee 3 Director’s calendars, assist 2 teams of analysts, and act as a point of reference for the division
  • Assist in preparing memorandums for members of the staff, which includes editing for spelling, grammar, and formatting
  • Coordinate office mail distribution for all offices within the program
  • Provide full-time, on-site general administrative office management support to the Directors and staff and provide back-up support as needed to other programs
  • Assist with preparing binders/packages for Congressional letters
  • Assist with editing/formatting and preparation of the annual Budget Justification book and Budget Estimate Submission book for Congressional submission
  • Prepare/assist with government timesheets for the program
  • Execute filing within the National Archives and Record Administration (NARA) standards;
  • Process and route documents utilizing the Correspondence and Task Management System (CATMS) and Task Management Tool (TMT)
  • Schedule conference rooms, dial-in reservations, and video tele-conferencing (VTC)
  • Order supplies for the program
  • Assist with the in-processing of new employees
  • Receive and escort visitors
  • Work on the Defense Travel System (DTS) Functionality Support Team by responding to traveler inquiries, assisting with filing of paperwork, creating authorizations/vouchers for travelers, and reviewing authorizations

Requirements Include:

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and be detail and deadline-oriented
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast paced environment while giving the appropriate sense of urgency to those decisions

We are seeking a Customer Service Contact Representative to support the Defense Health Agency in Great Lakes, IL.

Successful Candidate will: 

  • Assist DHA-GL as telephone point of contact on matters related to military Supplemental Health Care Program (SHCP) policies, benefits and entitlements; access to military health care, and the education of service members on care authorization.
  • Provide customer service assistance on Line of Duty Pre-authorization, and assistance in the resolution of unpaid claims.
  • Provide accurate, technical and timely assistance on requests.
  • Fully comply with the Privacy Act and HIPAA, including legal, regulatory, policy and established processes.
  • Contact service members and member’s units to validate and retrieve information necessary to complete the process (i.e. identifiable information, and proprietary information)
  • Conduct queries in the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS) to establish uniform service personnel’s eligibility.
  • Make accurate entry in the Assistance Reporting Tool (ART) on each case.
  • Educate service member as well as unit med rep on correct procedure to avoid future problem associated with pre-authorization requests and unpaid claims.
  • Fax hard copy documents to the Managed Care Support Contractor’s systems in accordance with established policy once in the morning and once in the afternoon.
  • Review all documents related to pre-authorization requests sent to DHA-GL for action (hard copies, ART, electronic systems).
  • Develop a working understanding of the Managed Care Support Contractor’s systems in order to discuss claims issues with callers and take appropriate action when necessary.

Requirements Include:

  • Practical knowledge of health care terminology used with a variety of diseases, diagnostic and treatment procedures and practical knowledge of computers and various computer software programs and associated with printer/copier functions is necessary for eligibility inquiries and for identification of uniformed service personnel.
  • Qualified typist and basic computer skills with proficiency in Word Processing Programs (Word, EXCEL, and Outlook) is necessary.
  • Knowledge of English grammar and a high degree of skill in oral communication and customer service skills is necessary to conduct professional and tactful interaction with customers, contractors, unit representatives, and healthcare providers.

We are seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to support ongoing Integrative Medicine efforts to support the Military Healthcare System in Nellis AFB, NV and Eglin AFB, FL.

  • Provide clinical research support to include recruitment, randomization, data collection, tracking, interview, and follow-up necessary to conduct research studies.

We are seeking a Clinical Administrative Assistant to support ongoing Integrative Medicine efforts to support the Military Healthcare System in Las Vegas, NV.

Successful Candidate will:

  • Perform administrative functions for the Integrative Medicine and CIP including but not limited to, patient appointments, scheduling integrative medicine treatments for research and clinic patients.
  • Establish and maintain good interpersonal relationships with co-workers, families, peers and other team members.
  • Adhere to infection control procedures including use of personal protective equipment, disposal of waste and aseptic technique.
  • Perform central sterile supply duties and ensure all equipment is properly cleaned and stored at the end of each work shift.
  • Ensure preventive maintenance and routine cleaning are performed as directed.

  • Participate in in-service training and continuing education programs for new procedures, techniques and equipment.

  • Ensures stock levels are adequate and initiates orders for replenishment.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare related field and 1 year healthcare related field experience (within the last 5 years) or an Associate’s Degree and 2 years healthcare related field experience (within the last 5 years)
  • Must have current Human Subject Research Protection training Office of the Under Secretary of Defense “Personnel and Readiness” within 15 days of hire.
  • Must have current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 15 days of hire.
  • Must be detail oriented and able to work independently following a brief period of specific technical training.
  • Experience working within the Military Healthcare System preferred.
