Axiom Golf Tournament Raises $39,600 for Fisher House Foundation

October 31, 2016

Falls Church, Virginia. Axiom family and friends teamed up to host Axiom's annual golf tournament for Fisher House Foundation on October 19th at Westfield's Golf Course in beautiful Clifton, Virginia.

The event marked Axiom's 13th tournament in support of Fisher House. At the luncheon following a gorgeous day of golf and Mulligan-taking, it was announced that $39,600 had been raised to support the Foundation. This brings the grand total Axiom has raised for Fisher House to $390,500.00.

At the post-golf banquet, Axiom Managing Partners Kevin Riley, Doug Peardon, and Kathy Williamson presented the check to Bruce Phillips, Fisher House Director of Operations.

Mr. Phillips noted that there are 71 Fisher Houses currently in operation, counting the new Fisher House which was dedicated in Long Beach, California, on the very day of the Axiom tournament. He also thanked the men and women of Axiom—and our generous tournament supporters—for their longstanding support for the tournament.

“We are so grateful for your support to our nation's heroes and their families,” he said, “With your help, Fisher House has provided more than seven million days of lodging to these brave Americans. And this lodging, of course, is at no cost to the families. We could not provide the services we provide without the help of caring organizations like Axiom.”

Kevin Riley summed up Axiom's commitment to Fisher House. “When you consider the sacrifices military families make for our country, and the miraculous support Fisher House provides to those families, it makes it a true honor for Axiom to be able to raise funds for Fisher House. They are one of the most respected organizations in the United States.”
