Axiom Expands Acquisition Support for Military in Colorado

Falls Church, Virginia. Axiom Resource Management, Inc. announced it has won a contract to support a $781,000 document management project for DoD's TRICARE Management Activity (TMA) in Aurora, Colorado. TMA oversees the global system providing healthcare to more than 8.7 million active duty military personnel, dependents, and retirees.
"The contract continues our tradition of supporting TMA," Axiom Partner Kevin Riley observed. "We already have more than 200 people supporting the organization's headquarters in Virginia. This win increases our presence at their Colorado location to nearly 50." The contract calls for Axiom to support TMA's Acquisition Management and Support (AM&S) Directorate, which administers more than $13 billion worth of contracts for nationwide networks of healthcare providers.
Axiom Partner Doug Peardon explained, "The paperwork the government generates in managing contracts of that size is immense. This new contract will let us help them scan and organize all of that documentation so that it's more manageable." Axiom will provide complete lifecycle management for creating a digital repository of all relevant contractual documents. Axiom staff members already supporting AM&S in Aurora have scanned 85 gigabytes of material in just 14 months, but the backlog is still estimated at almost 3 million pages.
"This win means a lot to us," said Riley. "We have a long history of supporting TMA's AM&S Directorate. AM&S was Axiom's very first contract. Today, we have expanded into many other fields, but we still do consulting work for the AM&S Director in Falls Church, Virginia and the AM&S contracting professionals in Aurora, Colorado. Also, we recognize that this document management project is part of a larger e-commerce strategy TMA has for improving the financial management and performance of its contracts. I see a lot of great opportunities for Axiom as this project moves forward."
