Axiom's Newest Resource
January 11, 2002
Falls Church, VA - Axiom Resource Management, Inc., a fast growing, diversified management-consulting firm, strengthened its information technology practice recently by acquiring the human resources and other strategic assets of Keymind, an integrated Web and marketing communications company located in Alexandria, Virginia. Under a separate agreement, Axiom has purchased the name and trademark registration of the Keymind name.
"A perfect fit," Axiom Partner Kevin Riley described the latest addition to his firm's growing family of small, dynamic enterprises.
"We have always had a vibrant IT/IM practice," said Axiom Partner Doug Peardon, referring to Axiom's information technology and information management team. "Our IT Group specializes in customized software applications, data bases, and network development. But this acquisition brings a whole new dimension to our company."
Keymind is among the region's most exciting and innovative Web communications and marketing firms. Founded in 1997, the firm lists among its clients the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Staples Inc., and Oracle. Known for its ability to craft a distinctive Web presence for its clients, Keymind-designed Web sites marry function with style in a manner that makes these sites as important to users as to clients.
"Last year more than 3,000 Web sites were created every day," said former Keymind President Shane Oleson. "Few companies can survive without being connected to the Internet," Oleson said, "but Internet-connected companies won't succeed unless their Web sites meet the needs of the company and its customers." Oleson will continue to serve as president of Axiom's Keymind Division.
Riley, a recognized expert in small business development, agrees. "Keymind helps private businesses, large and small, grow into markets they might never have reached. Shane's team knows how to improve business management and marketing through smarter communications."
According to Peardon, the Keymind Division will continue creating better, more effective business practices for private sector clients. Axiom will help apply these techniques, wherever appropriate, to the business needs of its government clients.
"Like I said," Riley repeated, "it's a perfect fit. Keymind gains. Axiom gains. But our clients will be the biggest winners."
Axiom completed the merger last year, relocating the Keymind Division located within Axiom's headquarters at the Skyline Complex in Falls Church. Established in 1996, Axiom is a leading professional services firm providing information technology, program management, and scientific support to 20 federal agencies and private industries nationwide.
