Axiom Wins Contract to Support DoD and VA Healthcare

Falls Church, Virginia. Axiom Resource Management, Inc., has been awarded a contract to provide wide ranging support to the health programs run by the Department of Defense and the Department of Veterans affairs, including important resource sharing projects operated by both agencies.
"This contract continues the support we have been providing the TRICARE Management Activity's Operations Directorate for the past eight years, and broadens our ability to support the TMA mission," said Doug Peardon, Axiom's executive vice president and chief operating officer.
Under the new contract, Axiom will provide a senior policy analyst to support the DoD's Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs, while other professional staff support the director of TRICARE Standard Programs Division, the Deputy Chief of TRICARE's pharmacy operations office, and a team of staff members who will support the DoD/VA program coordination office, helping to maximize resource sharing between the two cabinet-level agencies.

Axiom staff supported Government clients as they produced strategic plan guiding efforts by senior executives of the DoD and the VA to improve healthcare resource sharing between the agencies. This effort becomes more vital as military personnel with combat wounds return from Iraq and Afghanistan, and look to both the DoD and VA for medical care, rehabilitative services, and transitional support.
