Disability & Accessibility Services

Axiom provides high-quality disability program and policy support services for government agencies and the private sector. Our disability service core competencies, for both people with disabilities and disabled veterans, are divided into three main categories: employment, accessibility and training services. We help our clients develop and implement programs and processes to define objectives, improve performance and increase opportunities for all.

Axiom’s Disability Services include:

  • Assisting organizations in developing and managing disability programs and reasonable accommodation processes
  • Supporting rehabilitation specialists at Military Treatment Facilities with technical assistance for integrating assistive technology for the re-employment of wounded service members
  • Managing assistive technology centers and providing individual needs assessments
  • Providing national marketing and communication campaigns to increase employment opportunities for people with disabilities
  • Providing accessible design and programming support for websites, databases, and online learning applications in compliance with Section 508
  • Assisting organizations in developing and executing communication and outreach campaigns to disability market segments
  • Providing experts to design and deliver training and public education via workshops, teleconferences and webinars

Axiom’s past and present Disability Services clients include:

  • The DoD Computer/Electronic Accommodations Program (CAP), the world’s largest accommodations program (www.cap.mil)
  • The Social Security Administration’s (SSA) Ticket to Work program, helping SSA beneficiaries with disabilities return to work (www.ssa.gov/work)
  • The Department of Labor (DOL) Job Accommodation Network (JAN), usability and accessibility study and redesign of JAN’s information systems (www.askjan.org)
  • The Departments of Agriculture, Housing and Urban Development, Interior, Transportation, the Access Board, and the General Services Administration
