We are seeking a Junior Manpower Specialist to support Manpower Planning efforts for the Defense Agency (DHA) Manpower and Organization Division. 

Successful candidate will:

  • Provide functional support in civilian and military manpower management, organizational design, and management engineering support.
  • Assisting with planning, organizing, and conducting manpower analysis and requirements programming for the DHA.
  • Coordinate within the DHA to assist with directorate and market manpower actions.
  • Translate DHA requirements to resource specific requirements.
  • Use FMTS to manage manpower requirements and authorizations.
  • Provide prioritization recommendations for manpower planning initiatives.
  • Develop planning and programming documents that support manpower planning goals.
  • Gather organizational data to support recommendations for appropriate workforce mix, restructuring and/or reorganization based on studies and analysis.
  • Support development of joint manpower documentation.
  • Be proficient in the Microsoft suite of programs.

Requirements Include:

  • Ability to undergo a background investigation which requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1+ years of experience
  • Familiarity with DoD Manpower Management, manpower programming, and manpower analysis principles is beneficial.
  • Demonstrated experience in a federal environment and a solid understanding of resource management processes is beneficial.

The successful candidate will:

  • Plan and execute all aspects of an annual conference with more than 1500 attendees, 100 exhibitors, and numerous concurrent educational tracks.
  • Manage budget, venue selection, conference agenda, attendee registration, website and mobile application.
  • Oversee development of registration website to include building registration and reporting structure.

  • Proofread and quality control/quality assurance for a wide range of collateral (including website content and presentation PowerPoint decks).
  • Possess strong skills in Project management, Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Thrive in a dynamic environment with minimal direction.
  • Coordinate with multiple stakeholders on multiple concurrent projects.

Requirements Include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in area of specialty and at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Certification in Clinical Research and 2 years healthcare related field experience or experience in human subject research projects, development, test, and evaluation (within the last five years).
  • Must have current Human Subject Research Protection training Office of the Under Secretary of Defense “Personnel and Readiness” within 15 days of hire.
  • Must have current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 15 days of hire.
