We are seeking a Project Manager to join our Program Office Defense Healthcare Management Systems Modernization (PM DHMSM) supporting the Chief Engineer. 

Successful Candidate will:

• Provide project management support to the DHMSM Chief Engineer, including but limited, to performing tasks coordination, manage and coordinate all communications requests, including client deliverables, external stakeholder requests for information, and leadership progress reports and briefings.

• Provide support to PM DHMSM Department of Defense (DoD)/Veteran Affairs (VA) technical collaboration efforts.

• Support strategic planning activities for efficient task and resource allocation.

• Provide event management support for external summits and technical reviews.

• Provide project management support during product deployments.

Requirements Include:

• Requires a Bachelor's degree and at least five (5) years of experience in the field or in a related area

• Healthcare, TRICARE, Military Health System or other Department of Defense experience preferred

• Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite, writing in Plain Language

• Proactive and engaged

• Must be detail-oriented with strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills, and able to follow directions

• Ability to multi-task and respond to multiple requests/tasks in a timely manner

In this position, the .NET Programmer will work with the requirements analysts, information architects, the creative team and the client to develop scalable, robust and flexible solutions.

Position Requirements Include:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen

• Bachelor’s Degree

• At least 5 years of software development experience

• At least 2 years of experience developing .NET solutions, including expertise with C#, and Visual Studio. Experience with Web Forms, MVC, .NET Core a plus

• At least 2 years of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server, through version 2016, including experience writing complex SQL. Experience writing stored procedures, functions, triggers a plus

• Experience with JavaScript, jQuery, and Ajax

Additional Preferred Skills:

• Experience working in an organization with established processes (CMMI, ISO, Agile), including established configuration management practices.

• Understanding of CSS concepts, and frameworks (Bootstrap, Tailwind, etc.)

• Experience with technologies such as Linux, PHP, WordPress, Drupal.

• Experience writing and implementing unit tests

• Understanding of Section 508 guidelines, and experience implementing them in web-based solutions

We are seeking a Solutions Architect that will lead IT modernization activities and actively participate in IT solution strategies for the organization.  Candidate will lead the establishment and execution of an organization-wide IT strategy and implementation roadmap and execute this strategy to introduce relevant new technology capabilities that support AXIOM services internally and externally. Specific tasks:

  • Participate in Corporate and client facing initiatives related to AXIOM’s IT services, IT modernization efforts, business application development, and technical solutioning.
  • Generate new ideas and innovations, working with others as a thought leader and subject matter expert to help brainstorm new processes and solutions for clients.
  • Help develop strategies for pursuit of IT opportunities in the federal and private sectors that are in line with the AXIOM’s business development objectives
  • Perform design and development tasks for systems engineering / solutions architecture on projects and collaborate closely with existing IT team to map out innovative integrated technical solutions.
  • Prepare complex work prints and schematics to define and illustrate infrastructure deployment and solutions.
  • Maintain awareness and expertise of the latest data processing and management, cloud and infrastructure, orchestration, integration, and visualization technologies in order to proactively support the adoption of truly beneficial new capabilities.
  • Cultivate relationships with executive leadership team, AXIOM subject matter experts, and strategic partners to ensure digital transformation and modernization efforts are coordinated to meet specific missions, both internally and client-facing.
  • Work with Executive Leadership team to establish an on-going communication process to share updates with senior leadership on technology and web performance, and value delivered to the organization.
  • Lead strategy for establishing various technology partnerships and evaluating potential technology partners.


Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Comfortable in both a leadership and team-player role.
  • Demonstrated ability to participate in client-facing opportunities.
  • 10+ years of professional experience with a successful track record of leading technology solutions.
  • Strong experience with design, development, and deployment of multiple complex or large-scale operational analytics capabilities.
  • Proven technical leadership and exposure across a broad scale of IT experience in tools, technologies, and architecture models with ability to drive strategy.
  • Ability to “roll-up the sleeves” and switch participate in execution and delivery of IT solutions when needed.
  • Experienced at preparing and presenting updates to Senior Leadership and forecasts for future projects.
